Peanut Butter Sauce with Chili

Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 solo garlic
  • 3 g yellow chili pepper approximately 1/4 chili
  • 10 g ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil dark/toasted
  • 150 ml water
  • 3 tbsp coconut sugar
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • Finely chop the solo garlic, yellow chili pepper and ginger.
    The yellow chili brings a little heat. If you want, you can add more to taste. I sometimes add a bit more chili than stated in the recipe as I like a hot sauce.
  • Add the sesame oil to a small pot and bring to medium heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the garlic, chili and ginger to the pot and fry this at medium heat for 3-4 minutes
  • Add the rest of the ingredients, and bring the sauce to a rapid simmer (medium heat).
    Adding the pinch of salt helps balance out the sauce.
  • Let the sauce simmer for 20 minutes (no lid) and stir occasionally.
